The ICE St. Moritz

The St Moritz International Concours of Elegance (ICE) is held each year on the frozen lake of St Moritz, Switzerland. The ICE combines racing with a classic car show and other unique and special luxury as well as supercars. For decades the town and lake have already hosted polo matches and horse racing. A unique classic car event made perfect sense for the small town in the Alps. The ICE St Moritz has existed only since 2019 with 2020 being cancelled and 2021 as a lockdown edition. 2022 and 2023 saw the event coming back for the second time in its full glory but 2024 was cancelled once more due to heavy snowfall. Let's cross our fingers for the 2025 edition to go ahead!

Concourso d'Elegenza Villa d'Este

The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is probably the most prestigious Classic Car Concours in Europe if not in the world. The quality of special and unique cars is on par with the Pebble Beach Concours in California which is widely considered the highlight of the year in the classic and vintage car world. But the Villa at Lake Como doesn't have the vast golf lawn like Pebble Beach and is not as big as its American counterpart. The Concours limits the number of cars to only 50. Pebble features around 200 cars on display. This doesn't have to be a bad thing though because it gives you more time to closely inspect the cars and talk to the owners. Visitors can admire about 50 cars which are all built between the 1920s and the 1970s and are organized into different categories. Additionally, the event also features a super- and concept car category. The cars are judged, presented and awarded on Saturday in Villa d'Este and then driven on Sunday morning to Villa Erba for public viewing. Read the EVC Experience Report

Fuori Concourso

The Fuori Concorso is an alternative / add-on to the Villa d’Este Concours. It is held on the same dates and the event location at the Villa del Grumello, Villa Sucota and Villa Elmo which is just around the corner and within walking distance at the shores of Lago di Como. Fuori was only launched in 2019 and unlike the Villa d’Este Concours, it hosts more modern sportscars such as special Porsches and other supercars. The event is considered fresh, modern and exciting that wants to bring together like-minded car enthusiasts. The event is organized by Larusmiani, a luxury Milan / Italian fashion brand founded in 1922 and led by the grandson of the founder Guglielmo Miani Sr. The day admission of €150 is still somewhat steep for a car event but for this, you can experience a free wine tasting, speeches by famous car personalities as well as other entertainment.

Goodwood Revival is a three-day festival held each September at Goodwood Circuit since 1998. In 1998 motor racing returned to Goodwood for the first time since the closure of the famous Motor Circuit in 1966. The event has since become one of the biggest historic motorsport events in the world and the only one to be staged entirely in period dress that recreates the 1950s and 1960s era of motorsport. The circuit is unchanged from its heyday, remaining in its 1952 configuration when the chicane was added. No modern vehicles are allowed within the circuit perimeter throughout the weekend, except for modern fire and rescue vehicles. There are also theatrical sets that bring the past back to life, as well as many historic aircraft. A spectacle that you must see at least once in your life! Read the EVC Experience Report
